Iliad supports a foundational approach to AI alignment through research and fieldbuilding. On the research side, we host a range of research organizations under our umbrella. On the fieldbuilding side, Iliad runs the Iliad Intensive and Iliad Fellowship, as funnels for talented theorists to get involved in technical AI alignment research. We also run a range of conferences, including the eponymous ILIAD conference series, and are supporting a scientific peer-reviewed journal for AI alignment.

Iliad is an American non-profit through its fiscal sponsor Principles of Intelligence, a 501(c)(3) Public Charity. Our programs and conferences take place around the world, though concentrated in the Bay Area and in London.
