Welcome to the Iliad Outreach Initiative
We greatly value bringing talent to foundational AI alignment research, and appreciate your help in spreading the word.
How it works
If people apply using your QR code or link, we’ll be able to attribute their application to you. We’ll reach out to you with a thank you after any of your referees have completed one of our programs (e.g. the Fellowship or Intensive).
If you have any questions, please email comms@iliad.ac

Subject: Get paid to study AI alignment — the Iliad Intensive
Hello,
I'm reaching out about the Iliad Intensive — a four-week, full-time taught course on foundational AI alignment research, for people with strong backgrounds in mathematics, physics, or theoretical computer science. It runs several times a year in London (at LISA) and Berkeley.
There's no tuition — participants receive a $5,000 (USD) travel-and-housing allowance, plus lunch and dinner on course days. The curriculum spans the alignment problem, deep learning theory, interpretability, agent foundations, and safety guarantees, taught by a team of around twenty researchers.
If you're a PhD or postdoctoral researcher, there's also the Iliad Fellowship: three months of mentored research in applied mathematics for AI alignment at LISA in London, with a $6,000/month allowance.

The application is quick to complete, and one application covers all upcoming program dates.
Thank you!
